What will you hear?

The structure of  this  programme is typical of many programmes until the Second World War. Programmes were not as we are used to, two or three complete major works  but were a  mixture of music, a movement from a symphony by someone, then another by someone else, perhaps some operatic arias, a bit of Bach, part of a concerto or all of it broken up by other compositions.

A mixed programme, but no less demanding for the musicians.  Indeed, I think you will be happily surprised by the degree of  virtuosity required of them.

What’s in store?

Le Meridian Bristol was rated  recently as the 11th greatest hotel in Europe. The list of past celebrity guests is impressive enough. Though I have never slept there, I imagine the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms have running water and the linen is clean. To be chef at the Bristol guarantees fame and, for all I know, fortune. What is certain is that you, the discerning guest, as the wine flows, will have a dinner to remember.

How do we get tickets?

There are four ways:

1. Get your friends to invite you.

2. Get your company to buy you a ticket or, better, a table.

3. Get your company to buy the event for promotion.

4. Get a ticket from me for yourself.

What does a place cost? 185 pln per person, inclusive of food and wine, music and entertainment. Impossible but true. Places are reserved through Richard Berkeley at berkeley@fnok.pl Tel. 502 965 353.
